If you are reading this, it means that you have come across my little space on the Internet which I plan to fill with thoughts, articles and reviews and hopefully add to discourses about topics that affect society whether they be cultural, political or indeed seemingly mundane – after all, we need to think about the little things in life every once in a while. The little things that can evolve into great things, perhaps.
I am a French and Russian student who enjoys travelling, writing, the great outdoors, and great adventures. The main aim of this blog is ultimately to express ideas and spread a little positivity about the world. I hope that you will find something of interest, something that poses a question to you or just something that puts a smile on your face.
So a warm welcome, reader! To begin, a favourite quote:
“Blessed are those who see beautiful things in humble places where others see nothing.” – Camille Pissarro.
and a picture I took from the inside of the Musee d’Orsay in Paris looking out onto the Seine, in which are housed many beautiful works of French artists, including Pissarro. There is always something interesting about standing behind the clock, behind the window, looking out. Like sharing a secret. A new point of view, and certainly a beautiful one, though perhaps in a less than humble setting.
